Lethbridge Soft Tissue and Joint Mobilization Services

At our clinic, we offer a range of therapeutic techniques designed to help you alleviate pain, recover from injury, and improve your overall health and wellbeing.

Soft Tissue work techniques

Soft tissue work involves the manipulation of the muscles, tendons, ligaments, and other soft tissues of the body. This technique is used to release tension, reduce pain and inflammation, and increase range of motion. Soft tissue work can be used to treat a variety of conditions, including back pain, neck pain, headaches, and sports injuries.

Our therapists use a variety of soft tissue work techniques, including myofascial release, trigger point therapy, and deep tissue massage. Myofascial release is a gentle technique that involves applying sustained pressure to the connective tissue surrounding muscles to release tension and improve mobility. Trigger point therapy involves applying pressure to specific points on the body to relieve pain and tension. Deep tissue massage involves using firm pressure to release tension in the deeper layers of muscle tissue.

Joint mobilization techniques

Joint mobilizations, on the other hand, involve the passive movement of a joint to improve its range of motion. This technique is used to reduce pain, stiffness, and inflammation, and can be effective for treating conditions such as arthritis, frozen shoulder, and other joint injuries.

Our therapists are highly trained in a variety of joint mobilization techniques, including active range of motion, passive range of motion, and mobilization with movement. Active range of motion involves the patient moving their own joint through a range of motion, while passive range of motion involves the therapist moving the joint for the patient. Mobilization with movement involves combining joint mobilization with a specific movement to improve joint function.
